BASICS
❁ this blog is highly selective & is a sideblog of @nightgaled. for my own personal comfort, i will not interact with anyone under eighteen years old & personal blogs will be blocked on sight. i also do not write with nonmutuals - this includes anonymous ic asks (unless i've posted a meme asking for them). please be respectful of this.

❁ the following will not be tolerated on this blog: homophoiba; p//dophilia; transphobia, terf rhettoric, & transmisogyny; racism; discrimination of any kind based on a person's sex, gender, or orientation; apologist behavior; romanticization of abuse; romanticization of trauma, mental illness, or poor coping mechanisms; pro AND anti shippers; drama and/or attention seeking behavior; gatekeeping; clout chasing..... you get the picture.

ETIQUETTE
❁ follow basic rp etiquette: don't godmod, don't force ship me, cut your posts, try not to reblog memes and musings and the like off me (feel free to reblog from my resource blog @ohluscinia), don't harass me for replies or attention ooc, etc. respect my boundaries and i'll respect yours.

❁ as we are all adults, i expect everyone i write with it to act like one. if you have a problem with me or someone i write with, come talk to me in private. likewise, if i have a problem with you, i will tell you straight up without sugar coating. being nice to save face only leads to misunderstandings and i'm not here for it.

❁ i play fast and loose with the block button & this rule counts as your warning. i reserve the right to block anyone who makes me uncomfortable and i don't owe you an explanation for doing so.

❁ i don't tolerate jealous behavior. i understand having dupe anxiety and i absolutely deal with it myself every now and then, but if it gets to the point of you restricting who i can interact with and speak to without any care given to my opinion, i will cut ties and move on.

INTERACTIONS & REPLIES
❁ i am crossover and oc friendly, so long you have verses from fandoms i'm familiar with & there's ample information on your muse (for ocs) or i already know enough about them due to being familiar with the media.

❁ i am very plot inclined.
i prefer threads & dynamics that are plotted over flying by the seat of my pants and said interactions will be given priority. i also prefer to be friends with other muns ooc. please come and scream to me via ims and discord about plots and ships. i would love it.

❁ i love continuing asks into threads.
i tend to use asks as a jumping off point and will reply to most of them. if that's something you don't like, please just let me know! otherwise, please feel free to continue my asks into threads as well!

❁ i can be very slow. i tend to run off a queue for the most part. i have my thread tracker linked in my pinned post and you're always welcome to check it and see what's on there and what's queued and what's not. if you see something missing, let me know!

❁ i tend to be pretty long winded (as you can see by these rules) and as a result am more inclined to longer threads than to oneliners. i'll do funny crack stuff every now and then, but not often. however: don't worry about matching lengths!! as long as you give me something to work with i'm fine.

❁ i use minimal formatting (small text, bolded speech, no caps, italics for emphasis) and occasionally will use icons. i don't care if you do or don't use icons. i don't care if you do or don't use small text or format your posts. i do care if your writing is way too spaced out or otherwise illegible.

ON DRAMA & CALLOUTS
❁ this section is really long and i apologize for that, i'm just trying to make sure my bases are covered. i really hate rp drama and i try very hard to avoid it as it has been dangerously unhealthy for me in the past. however, i understand that it sort of comes with the territory these days, so i have a set of specific guidelines regarding gossip, mediation, callouts, and general interpersonal communication.

❁ if you are going to "warn me" about one of my mutuals (including telling me about something or sending me a callout), i expect complete screenshots of the alleged conversation(s) or whatever. if you cannot provide complete (not cropped, not cherry picked, entire transcripts) screenshots or the callout you're linking doesn't have them, i don't want to hear about it.

❁ upon reviewing the evidence, as it were, i will then bring up the issue with the other person (you'll remain anonymous). if that makes you uncomfortable or you don't want me to do so, don't bring up the issue to me: plain as that. if you're telling the truth and have nothing to hide, you shouldn't be afraid of me getting both sides of the story.

❁ when i have heard both sides of the story and have done enough research about the topic to feel comfortable making an informed decision, i will make up my own mind about what happened. you are free to accept what i decide or not, but there will be no further discussion unless new evidence comes to light.

❁ research for me involves talking to people who have lived experience that they can pull from (ie: asking a friend who is poc how they feel about a race issue that is directly related to their race) and reading studies, articles, and books by professors and experts in the field in question. i hate being gatekeepy, but if your sources for something don't fall into the above category (ie: isn't a substantiated article or is an op-ed) i don't want to see them.

❁ the only exception to the prior rule is callouts regarding predatory behavior (so long as they have sufficient evidence). for example the matt is a predator callout is substantiated enough that i don't need to like... track matt down and ask him. it's pretty obvious he's gross.

TRIGGER & NSFW
❁ there will be 18+ content and other potentially triggering themes on this blog including sex, nudity, swearing, canon typical violence, and in depth exploration of various mental health issues and recovery.

❁ i tag triggers 'TRIGGER /'. i tag content that's 18+ but not explicit with 'SUGGESTIVE /'. i tag explicit sexual content with 'NSFW /'. if i ever miss something, please let me know and i'll make a note to tag it in the future.

❁ my triggers: asphyxiation, suffocation, strangulation, smothering, drowning, and any other death or trauma associated with an inability to breathe. esp scenes in movies or shows; in depth discussions regarding the feelings, emotions, or sensations of being choked (esp to death); or jokes about these actions happening in association with myself or my muses or children. super brief, matter of fact mentions are fine (ie: she was strangled to death as a cause of death in relation to muse background or crime), but pls tag anything else. choking tw or lusci don't look both work.
